hi there. i’m rosie, 16 and i live in kent, england; it’s quite a beautiful place if you look hard enough. i try to sum myself up into words, but it’s quite difficult.
my hair colour changes constantly. i can’t really remember what my natural hair colour looked like, so please don’t bother asking me. i’m a top procrastinator, i’m procrastinating right now by writing this. i spend my life reading books, drinking tea and finding new music to listen to. i know some people say that ‘music is their life’ and it sounds cliche, but for me, it mainly is. without the solace i’ve found in music, i would have gone mental.
i love going on long walks to empty fields, with just my ipod and a packet of cigarettes. the comfort i get from sitting completely alone with just my thoughts is perfect. i have the shortest attention span in the world, and i find it incredibly difficult to sit and watch films. on another hand, my favourite films are 500 days of summer, the breakfast club, fight club, submarine, inception and ten things i hate about you.
i suppose i’m a fairly ‘quiet’ person, most of the time. simply based on the fact that i’d rather sit and listen to people, instead of just talking about my opinion. you’ll find that if you just take the time to listen, you’ll understand how much people’s personalities vary, and it kind of fascinates me. however, when i’m drunk, the chances of me shutting up are very minimal. so if i ever get drunk around you (which is quite likely) please punch me in the face and tell me to be quiet.
i have a fascination with the night sky. i could lie out for hours watching it. the thing i love about the night sky, is how unknown it is. and when i lie, looking at the stars, it proves how small we all really are, and how insignificant our problems are. because in the grand scheme of things, you life is quite insignificant, i’m afraid, but it’s very important that you live it anyway, just to keep the world on the right track. if you’re prepared to cuddle me whilst looking at the night sky, we should probably get married.
my room is my comfort zone. i hate people rummaging through my things and i do slightly have ocd. i constantly have incense burning and music playing, and sitting in my room thinking about things makes me happy. i have a massive obsession with the beatles, and if you ever insult them in front of me please, prepare to be mauled. i think they changed the music industry, and without them, my life would have been a lot more difficult. they helped me get through some shit times, and i know that sounds stupid and cliche, but it’s true.
i don’t really know what else to say. i suppose i like to believe i’m fairly complex, if not slightly mental. i smoke like a chimney and i sleep too much. but i like dreaming, because only in dreams can your true thoughts appear.
